Meet Mike
Who is Mike Alfred
I’m Mike Alfred. My wife, Caety, and I have two children and we are longtime residents of Colleyville. Caety is a trained neonatal intensive care nurse – and I’m a lawyer. Like most people, we went to public schools.
For the last six years, I’ve coached youth athletics in Colleyville. I coached little league baseball in the Colleyville Baseball Association for three years and coached Mustang-Panther football for three years in the Grapevine-Colleyville Youth Football Association. We’re vested in GCISD – both of our kids have attended GCISD schools and our son is currently at CMS.
I will ensure GCISD remains a great educational experience for our children and will urge the board to listen to our community and be fiscally responsible with your tax dollars.
Successful Lawyer
As a lawyer, recognized since 2020 as one of Texas’s Super Lawyers, I’ll bring more than two decades of experience to the Board. This includes using my experience with the Texas Education Code to maximize dollars for the classroom. I’m used to complicated facts, tough decisions, and working well under pressure.
I know who I am and where I stand, and you will as well. Today, more than ever before, we need people in decision making positions who respect rational objectives and are guided in decisions by common sense, understanding, and the solid values that have served this community and its citizens so well for so long. We can’t know the future, but we do know how to face it.
